Some of my favorite books were The Seven Chinese Brothers, The Man Without A Head and The Most Loved Doll. Here's me with my 'most loved doll."
I also treasured the first 'big' book I read once picture books became too easy for me. It was on President Harry S. Truman--his life as a boy and how he grew up to become President. I rode around my neighborhood with that book in the basket of my orange Huffy bicycle and showed it to my neighbors and friends. I was so proud to read!

I gobbled up The Little House on The Prairie, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys books. Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume changed my life when I read it as a ten year old. To this day,
I wrote songs, music and stories as a child and loved to play 'pretend'. Pretending is one thing I've never grown out of but now, I pretend through the characters I create and the stories I write.
